I have been on the phone with MS about the same thing for over a week. They are thieves. Can't we do a class action about this issue??

HOLY CRAP! This company is insanely out of control. They've got to be banking millions in theft every day. I bought a 12+1 month card membership, and put in the redemption code (I was previously a cc month-to-month subscriber). They then decided that because I was putting in a year subscription card, that it must be perfectly okay to go ahead and charge me for ANOTHER 13 months off my credit card TOO. So I received a charge on my credit card for an additional $57.98. I called the ONLY microsoft phone support that seems to exist(in India), and after being hung up on(accidentally, of course) five times in a row, and waiting for SRSLY 30 min. on hold to speak with a supervisor, I was informed that my options were either a)take it up the ass and "enjoy" my 26 months of service or b)get a refund for the credit card charge, but have the FULL 26 months of xbox live service canceled. So I can then turn around and have to pay for another year of service to even have service, and in the end, I'm STILL out 100 bucks. Hmm.. you can either let us rob you or let us rob you. If every time a credit card subscriber enters a prepaid card this happens, then microsoft is banking 60 bucks a person. Sell a million prepaid cards, make 40 million off that sell, and then an ADDITIONAL 60 million off unauthorized credit card transactions. What they are doing is COMPLETELY illegal, but they're such a big company, they think they can do this. This is possibly the largest widest corporate scandal in history. And the ONLY method of supposed "resolution" is to call some outsourced customer support in India, who may or may not be somewhat sympathetic to your plight, but are not authorized to DO anything for you. In other words, there IS no customer support. It's an illusion. Their actual job function is to NOT help you, so that Microsoft can continue to still millions of dollars all across the world every day. Somehow, this has got to be stopped. And there are hundreds of millions of people that should be reimbursed money from this ridiculously corrupt company. My case/confirmation number with microsoft is #1093743463. If anyone from microsoft that works in america and actually cares about this corruption comes across the thousands of stories like this across the interwebs, please get the message out. Look up the case numbers. This shit is BIG.

I feel your pain man. I have been round and round with the dopes from Microsoft. They have been steeling money from me since I made the mistake of giving them my credit card back in the end of March. My story goes like this. I created a Live account for my son and one for me. I figured I would pay for Xbox Live Gold under my account to keep the credit card off of his, and then change the membership to his gamertag. I of course, was wrong. I called Microsoft a few days later to see if they could do it over the phone through support. I was informed that I could not. I then told them I wanted the membership cancelled, since I could not find a way to do this on the Xbox console. I was informed that it would be. Great. However, in July my bank card expired and I was given a new one. Microsoft sent me an e-mail stating that they attempted to charge it but it was cancelled. I figured no big deal, I cancelled it in April anyway and I don't want it charged. I found out on my bank statements at the end of July that they charged me for April, May, June and even in July with an expired card. I card on August 1st and said WTF? I threatened to take them to court and a few other things since I had cancelled the account and they went ahead and charged it again, even with an expired card. I was a bit pissed at the bank as well since they let them. This time I was actually given a reference number. I felt pretty good about having that little worthless number at the time. Guess what, September 1st rolled around and I was sent another e-mail saying that they tried to charge my credit card and it is expired. Of course they were able to charge the card once again. I called, went round and round with tech support and finally billing. I was told that the reference number I was given last time was from tech support and they never actually cancelled the account. No Sh!+. Again I threatened court action and I have also started a charge back from the bank. If anyone would like to start a class action lawsuit, I'd all too happy to do anything I can to help. Until then, small claims court will have to do. It's nice that you can't actually cancel the account from the same damb system you use to create it. You're stuck taking some dipstick's word that they did it. I think I'm going to send my cut up MCSE card along with the court documents.

Same thing happened to me. Microsoft is a megamanopoly that manipulates and steals from it's customers. I wish only bad things on them and their management.

How can I get this out to the world?
